Sometimes you need a pantry-freezer fall back that is full of deliciousness completely unexpected by the hungry family. If you have no time to reach the store, but want masterpiece magic, this easy, sausage and butter bean stew will satisfy every hunger. Buying the key staple ingredients for this stew means you’ll have a gourmet meal hiding behind the pantry door. And after serving, you’ll have yummy food for days. Dave and I were thinking sushi, but we fell into a Netflix trap (Preacher) and with this stew, we’ll be sustained for days!

Ingredients:

1.25 lbs of hot Italian sausage
2 (15 oz) cand butter beans (1 drained and rinsed)
6 cups Wegmans culinary chicken stock
2 cans (14 ½ oz) fired roasted diced tomatoes
2 tsp dried rosemary
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper
Generous swirls of Red Hot
I cup small pasta, (but I had a quarter cup of orzo and ¾ cups of capattelli, perfect!)

Directions:

Uncase sausage and brown, dicing with good spoon into small, bite size pieces. Add broth, beans and spices and bring to a rolling boil. Add pasta for 8 minutes. Boil. Add tomatoes and simmer for five minutes. Serve with crusty bread.
